Ukiyo means ‘floating world’ and symbolises living in the here and now. What a lovely concept to contemplate while sipping this gin, which has not only the classic juniper notes, but also woodsy herbaceousness of cherry blossom and the citrusy zest of yuzu. The base spirit is made from distilled shochu, and then redistilled with other aromatics.
