Čačík - Ryšák Cuvee

Cacik

Ryšák (‘red head’) is a distinctly Czech wine style, which is a blend of red and white grape varieties. In this case it’s ⅔ Blaufränkisch and ⅓ Chardonnay. This marriage results in an easy-drinking, playful wine with aromas of honeysuckle, chamomile, banana, red fruit and vanilla. Best served at room temperature, but can also be slightly chilled and enjoyed on a hot day.

Čačík Winery is a small family business run by Zdena Čačíková in Czechia. Zdena makes wines only from her own, organically certified vines spread across 5 vineyards. The soils vary from one vineyard to another - from loess, sandy soils to heavy chernozems. When it comes to viniculture, Zdena’s philosophy is to respect traditional winemaking practices and to limit interference in the winemaking process to a minimum. The wines are spontaneously fermented with natural yeasts and are not filtered before bottling.
