Le Tribute of Spain partners with a distillery in Durango, Mexico, which produces Mezcal using traditional methods under strict Mexican standards. The elegant ribbed glass bottle design is a nod to the Art Nouveau era.
Cooking in traditional volcanic stone ovens gives mezcal its characteristic smoky taste. All production is done entirely by hand. From the harvest of the agave plant and its transport to the stone ovens, to the manufacture of the ovens, the grinding of the agave and the packaging and labeling of the products.
The heart of the agave is used in the production of the Mezcal. While many makers cut at 5cm, here the plant is cut at 1.5cm; the less that’s cut, the less bitter the finished liquid, although much more expensive to make. For this reason, Le Tribute Mezcal is called "pure heart"
