Built from creative collaborations with designers, illustrators and artists; Wrap started life in 2010 as a magazine and now includes a stationery and product range, online shop, and editorial content in print and digital. All of Wrap’s output is united by a palpable excitement in showcasing and providing a platform for those making original work which pushes boundaries in both aesthetic and process. Based in east London, we’re proud to have created a business and a platform that gives us the opportunity to talk to and share the work of so many talented people from around the world.

Our friends from Man Versus Machine has been roasting and making specialty coffee in Munich since 2014. The company is 100% independent and the coffee beans 100% quality. The regularly changing roasts keep things interesting for us; indeed, we use their beans for our daily batch brew in our cafe.

Teas & Trees is a Berlin based tea company that provides great-tasting herbal tea cultivated in the mountains and plains of Crete by certified family businesses.

The Dittany herb was known in ancient Crete for as an aphrodisiac loose herbal tea and named Erodas by the locals, which means youthful love. The young men would climb on steep slopes to collect it for their beloved ones as an act of love.

Dittany (Origanum dictamnus) is the most famous Cretan endemic plants and the only plant which grows only in Crete. It grows on steep cliffs, so its collection is dangerous. Apart from excellent herbal tea, this organic herbal infusion was known in ancient times for its healing qualities. It was considered the most effective local remedy for almost everything (sore throat, cough, menstrual cramps, aching stomach, hypertensive, diuretic, helps at child birth, cures wounds, etc.).

Luisa or Lemon Verbena is a greek organic herbal tea with a very intense citrus smell, an extraordinary taste and remarkable effects.

Luisa was used in ancient times to ease stress problems, anxiety, insomnia and even nervousness states. It also has been shown to prevent muscle damage and boost the immune system. The infusion of this herbal tea in the water of the bath can have tranquilizing effects. It is also used in the kitchen to flavor many dishes like fish, chicken, salads and pastries. Lemon Verbana was often used by the Cretan women as a slimming aid, since it breaks down cellulite and regulates metabolism. It relieves the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome and regulates the menstrual cycle. Lemon Verbena is used as an ingredient in perfumes and alcoholic beverages.

Mountain tea Sideritis Syriaca or Malotira is a popular greek organic herbal tea that lies in the mountains of Crete. The one and only plant that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. In ancient times Sideritis was considered to be a secret to good health and a cure for almost anything.

Sideritis was used traditionally for promoting health and especially memory enhancement. The ancient Cretans drunk if because it was beneficial for the circulatory system and its strong anti-inflammatory effects help the soothing of colds/sore throat, fever, body ache and headache. It was also known as a detoxifier, anti-oxidant, disinfectant and diuretic.

The organic mountain tea from Crete can be used in anti-aging herbal creams and lotions, as well as in sun creams, as it is known that it can protect from sunburns and generally skin diseases caused by over-exposure to the daylight. It is an immune booster, and with its 99 vital ingredients this herb has been identified by recent studies that it might fight cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, enhance bone strength and delay osteoporosis.

It is 10-50cm long, caffeine free, made from dried flowers, leaves and stems. It has a special fragrance therefore it is used in many perfumes. Drinking 2 or 3 cups a day will boost your immune system.

Our friends at Studio Arhoj in Copenhagen are known for their playful and colorful glazed ceramics. The Quench Cup is the larger of their drinking vessels and we think it’s the perfect size for your morning tea or coffee.
Hand-cast in white porcelain and glazed individually, each piece is lovingly handmade and therefore entirely unique. Dishwasher and microwave safe, but hand washing is suggested.

Netherlands-based Kinta focuses on conscious collaborations with craftspeople around the world to produce their designs. The collection Cyl is handmade in Vietnam under fair-trade standards. The functional, cylinder-shaped stoneware teapot feels great to use and, combining matte with shiny finishes, looks gorgeous on the table. The ceramic is made in a small factory in Hanoi, run by the eighth generation of the family. The ceramist uses local resources and mixes the (non-toxic) colors himself.
