Ukiyo means ‘floating world’ and symbolises living in the here and now. Ukiyo Rice Vodka is made from a harvest of long-grain Indica rice.  The rice is inoculated with black kōji, fermented, and then distilled into a traditional Japanese Awamori spirit. This Awamori rice spirit is redistilled into our pure rice spirit.  The result is a masterfully distilled traditional Japanese Rice Vodka.

Ukiyo Japanese Vodka is born from a base of rice and is small batch triple distilled in traditional pot stills.

In Japan rice is renowned for producing the purest spirit. Ukiyo Rice Vodka is exceptionally clean, smooth, and subtly sweet. Like Japanese shōchū or sake, our Rice Vodka is ideal for sipping or pairing with food.

Welsch Riesling 2018 Vykoukal

Another delicious Welschriesling from Vykoukal's winery which is a great expression of the Austerlitz terroir. What's so typical for wines from this area? The soil here has a high amount of limestone and magnesium which give the wine a beautiful mineral character with almost salty and mildly bitter notes on the palate that intensify with further bottle ageing. This Welschriesling 2018 has a rich yellow colour (thanks to 48 hours of skin contact/fermentation on skins before pressing), it's bone dry, with floral and fruity aromatics. It exhibits floral notes of acacia, linden, and honey while the palate is well structured with just a pop of acidity, followed by nuanced flavours of citrus fruits and green apples.

Duppy Share Aged rum is a blend of two delicious traditional Carribean distilleries.

The blend contains a 3-year-old 100% Pot Still rum from the Worthy Park Distillery in Jamaica combined with a 5-year-old 100% Column Still rum from the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. 

The sweetness of vanilla from aging in oak barrels blends with a fruitiness that stays on the palate and makes the effect very rounded.

The blend is versatile and balanced, designed to pair perfectly with your favorite rum cocktails.

Mezcal - Espina Roja 200ml

Espina Roja is made by female producer Ariana Buendia and is an extraordinary example of what can be achieved when younger producers take on their family heritage. The brand name comes from the vibrant red thorns that the agave wilds to protect itself. Only 250 liters were bottled, making it a super limited edition batch.

Cultivated agave between 8 and 12 years of age Maguey, locally known as Alto (Agave Inaquidens) is harvested within 8 days. It is then cooked for a total of 10 days in a conical oven pit covered with volcanic stone and ground by hand with a wooden club. The fermentation is executed for 11 days in tepetate pits to which the pulque is added with natural spring water. It is then distilled in a Filipino Alembic made of fir wood.

Notes are mineral and woody with subtle lactic nuances.

Mezcal - Cumbrita de la Sierra 200ml

This super limited edition Mezcal (only 240 bottles!) has made it to Germany all the way from Batopilas, Chihuahua, México. Cumbrita de la Sierra is a 100% single producer owned brand; the maker, Dolores González, is at least the third generation of producer in his family, and one of only a handful who are still producing Lechuguilla in the region. In this region, the word “Lechuguilla” refers both to the plant, and the drink distilled from it. The agave used is Agave shrevei, although there does appear to be a lot of morphological variation and we may eventually find out that there are a couple of different species being used. The Agave grows about 1000 meters above Batopilas, on the summits of the cliffs of the Copper Canyon (hence the name - Cumbrita de la Sierra - Summit of the Mountain). The producers will travel up and out of the canyon with horses and donkeys, staying in the mountains for days on end while they cut and haul the Lechuguilla back to the Vinata (area of production). All this work creates a beautifully balanced spirit, with the gentle smoky flavor characteristic of Mezcal.

Tank 13 red wine is made from 100% Dornfelder grapes from vines run deep through kalk soil. 

Made low intervention in the cellar. A small number of sulfites was added.

This directly pressed Dornfelder creates a light, juicy, fresh red wine. It's rich in colour as Dornfelder has thick skins, but the mouthfeel is light and friendly. You can pair tank 13 with roast chicken, pizza, grilled fish, or baked aubergines. Best served slightly chilled.

Gewürztraminer Orange Wine 2022

This wine could become Czech Marada’s flagship wine, as each year gets more and more divine. Notes of rose hips, honeysuckle, and lychee on the bouquet are perfectly tempered by the light to medium tannic structure on the palate. Approximately 14 days maceration on the full berries for that deep orange color. This wine is both full of classic Gewürztraminer aromatics and more subtle, unique characteristics, not often found in the more over the top (slightly sugarier) wines in this style.

This wine fits almost anything aside from very charred red meat. Could stand up to pork ribs as well as it could pair with delicate fish.

Cuve Kollektiv - Tank 35 - Riesling

Tank 35 is made from 100% Riesling grapes. The vines on the Eckelsheim, Germany vineyard run deep through red sandstone soil. 

It's made the old-school way: low intervention in the cellar and a small amount of sulfites added.  Then it's fermented and aged in a 1000 litre fibre glass tank.

This wine is oxidised Riesling from 2019 and tastes almost like a Jura with good strength and character. Nutty, rich, fresh acidity, bold and delicious. 

You can pair tank 35 with white fish, roast chicken, seafood, slightly spicy vegetable curry, ravioli in butter sauce.
