The process of using Color Gem crayons mirrors the erosion of rocks. Unto is a multidisciplinary studio based in Tapei, founded in 2019. Their work is charachterized by drawing a close lens on nature, using the significance of objects as cultural conduits, and reintroducing things in a way that we might often otherwise overlook. Hand-finished in the studio, each Color Gem crayon is a unique piece of art. The craftsmanship is evident in the slight signs of irregularity and breach that may occur. These imperfections add to the charm and authenticity of the crayon, making it feel even more like a natural gemstone.
